The Opportunity:
As a Primary Maths Phase Leader, you will lead and inspire a team of teachers while delivering high-quality Maths education. This role offers the chance to shape curriculum development and improve student outcomes across the Primary phase. The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced class teacher with a passion for Maths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Maths curriculum, assessment, and monitoring strategies.
- Ensure the delivery of outstanding Maths provision across the Primary Phase.
- Plan, resource, and deliver highly effective lessons while supporting colleagues to do the same.
- Monitor and analyse pupil engagement, attainment, progress, and wellbeing.
- Support and liaise with the Phase team to drive continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of high expectations and a love of learning in all students.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align Maths provision with school-wide goals.
- Provide professional development opportunities for teachers within the Phase.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality Maths teaching.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
- Commitment to student achievement and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or Phase Leader role.
- Familiarity with the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools.
- Experience with cross-phase collaboration.
- Knowledge of innovative teaching methods in Maths.
- Experience in supporting teacher development and performance.
