The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated KS1 Tutor with ABA experience to support students in the Woolwich area. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for working with students with SEN and a commitment to delivering high-quality, individualised tuition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and structured one-to-one tuition to KS1 students
  • Apply ABA techniques to support students with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans
  • Communicate regularly with parents and the school to track student progress
  • Provide regular feedback on student performance and development
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment
  • Attend training sessions and follow safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Collaborate with other tutors and education consultants to ensure consistent support

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in KS1 curriculum areas
  • Relevant university qualification or currently studying towards one
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • A current Enhanced DBS certificate (with children’s barred list check)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience with ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) methods
  • Experience with students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Experience working with young learners in a school or tuition setting
  • Familiarity with individual learning plans (ILPs)
  • Experience with online and in-person tuition delivery
