Summary:

Seeking experienced KS2 Tutor in Camberley with strong SEN experience.

The Opportunity:

As a KS2 Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in the Camberley area. You will deliver high-quality tuition while using a student-centred approach that fosters confidence, motivation, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective tuition tailored to the needs of KS2 students.
  • Support students with special educational needs using the Bright Heart Approach.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and education consultants to ensure progress.
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
  • Attend training and professional development opportunities provided by the agency.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and learning outcomes.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to enhance engagement and motivation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong subject knowledge in KS2 curriculum areas.
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one, with A-levels.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Valid Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list.
  • 2 professional references and a parent reference.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred teaching methods.
  • Flexibility to work part-time and self-employed, with availability for in-person and online tutoring.
  • Experience with study techniques and transition support for students.
  • Experience working with local authorities, schools, or private families.
