The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced KS2 Tutor to provide high-quality support to students in the Farnham area. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a proven ability to work with students with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective KS2 tuition to students in the Farnham area
• Support students with special educational needs through tailored learning strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents and school staff to monitor student progress
• Follow the Bright Heart Approach, focusing on building trust and self-belief
• Provide feedback and reports on student progress and development
• Attend training and professional development sessions as required
• Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment at all times
• Collaborate with education consultants to ensure quality tutoring standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong subject knowledge in KS2 subjects
• University qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels
• Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
• Current Enhanced DBS certificate with children’s barred list check
• Ability to work independently and manage own schedule

Preferred

• Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred tutoring methods
• Experience with online tutoring platforms
• Knowledge of study techniques and strategies for students with SEMH needs
• Previous experience with interim education or supplementary tuition
