Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Economics lessons that engage students and foster a deep understanding of the subject.
• Lead and support the Economics department, ensuring consistent standards across all year groups.
• Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and improve student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting their academic and personal development.
• Stay up to date with current economic trends and incorporate them into teaching.
• Mentor and develop junior teachers within the department.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a good honors degree in Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in teaching Economics at the secondary level.
• Strong track record in delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent student outcomes.
• Ability to lead and manage a department effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development and leadership roles.
• Familiarity with teaching in a multi-academy trust environment.
• Experience with pastoral care and student welfare.
• Knowledge of current economic policies and global economic issues.
