Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, inspiring English lessons that drive student progress and engagement
- Support the development of the English curriculum and pedagogy across the school
- Lead and mentor other English teachers, providing guidance and professional development
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and Faculty Director to shape school-wide initiatives
- Promote and manage a wide range of extra-curricular activities in English
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s values
- Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
- Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Commitment to student progress and extra-curricular involvement
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leaders
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or subject lead role
- Experience with cross-phase opportunities within a Multi Academy Trust
- Familiarity with the Windsor Academy Trust and its values
- Experience in developing and implementing curriculum strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
