Key Responsibilities:

  • Set high expectations to inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
  • Promote excellent progress and outcomes through effective teaching and assessment.
  • Deliver well-structured lessons with strong subject and curriculum knowledge.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs and strengths of all students.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform and improve teaching.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Support the development of the maths department through leadership and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the IB Middle Years Programme and IB Mathematics curriculum.
  • Engage students in extracurricular maths and STEM activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in maths education.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire students and colleagues.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and assessment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in a collaborative or multi-academy trust environment.
  • Familiarity with the IB Middle Years Programme or IB Mathematics curriculum.
  • Experience in leading a maths department or mentoring other teachers.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
