Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Lead and support the development of maths teaching and learning across the department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum design and pedagogy.
  • Mentor and coach other maths teachers to enhance departmental performance.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide strategies for improving student achievement.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote maths education and student success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching maths at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a maths department.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for maths education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles within education.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with data analysis to support student progress.
  • Previous involvement in staff training or mentoring programmes.
