Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Lead and support the development of maths teaching and learning across the department.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum design and pedagogy.
- Mentor and coach other maths teachers to enhance departmental performance.
- Contribute to the development of school-wide strategies for improving student achievement.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote maths education and student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching maths at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a maths department.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for maths education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles within education.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with data analysis to support student progress.
- Previous involvement in staff training or mentoring programmes.

- Competitive salary on the Lead Practitioner Scale (£52,026 - £52,857).
