The Opportunity:

As a Lead Practitioner, you will be instrumental in driving teaching and learning excellence across the school. You will serve as a role model, delivering high-quality lessons while coaching and mentoring colleagues to improve practice. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example through outstanding classroom practice and continuous professional development.
  • Deliver coaching cycles for both early career teachers and established staff.
  • Embed evidence-informed teaching strategies, such as retrieval practice and scaffolding, into daily lessons.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in improving student outcomes through research-based approaches.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum remains ambitious and aligned with educational research.
  • Foster a culture of growth, resilience, and adaptability across the school.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help colleagues reach their full potential.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s ethos.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching and a strong track record of student achievement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor colleagues effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of pedagogical strategies and the science of learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration.

Preferred

  • Experience in a middle leadership or senior leadership role.
  • Familiarity with digital tools such as Show My Homework and Google Education.
  • Experience in curriculum design and implementation.
  • Background in coaching or mentoring educators.
