The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and driven Learning Mentor – Behaviour, Attendance and Inclusion to join our Pastoral Team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student lives by supporting attendance, behaviour, and inclusion across all key stages. The successful candidate will contribute to the school’s continued success and commitment to student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement targeted programmes to improve student attendance, behaviour, and inclusion.
  • Work closely with students, staff, and parents to address barriers to learning and support individual needs.
  • Deliver whole school interventions that promote positive behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Pastoral Team to ensure a consistent and supportive approach across all year groups.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, attendance, and engagement.
  • Provide guidance and support to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and respect throughout the school community.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of pastoral policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in developing and delivering behaviour, attendance, and inclusion programmes.
  • Strong understanding of strategies to support student well-being and academic success.
  • Experience working with students from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting, particularly within a pastoral or inclusion role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Experience with whole school behaviour management strategies.
  • Background in supporting students with additional needs.
  • Experience in working within an academy trust or multi-academy trust.
