The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with learning needs, helping them to develop confidence, self-esteem and academic progress. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and is committed to supporting their growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning needs in both 1:1 and small group settings.
  • Deliver and develop individualised support strategies tailored to student needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to share best practices and enhance learning resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement in class and activities.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities that support student progress.
  • Provide emotional and academic support to help students build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support interventions.
  • Collaborate with the Chaplaincy team to ensure support aligns with the school’s ethos and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Enthusiastic, understanding, and able to relate to young people.
  • Experience working with students who have learning needs or specific challenges.
  • Ability to deliver support programmes in both 1:1 and small group settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
  • Ability to complete literacy and numeracy tests to a high standard.
  • Experience in developing and implementing support strategies for students with specific needs.

Compensation & Benefits:
