The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties and those with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with learning difficulties and those with EHC plans in lessons, small group work, and one-to-one sessions.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive consistent and effective support.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans tailored to student needs.
- Provide a caring and encouraging environment that promotes student confidence and engagement.
- Monitor student progress and report regularly to the teaching team.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support interventions.
- Contribute to the overall school culture by promoting positive behavior and inclusion.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A caring and flexible attitude with a passion for supporting children’s learning.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with students, teachers, and parents.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- A willingness to undergo training and support provided by the school.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a similar support role, particularly with students with learning difficulties.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs or an EHC plan.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices and strategies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
