The Opportunity:

A Learning Support Assistant KS2 is sought to support students in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, working closely with the Head of Learning Support to deliver tailored lessons and support individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support small groups or individual children under the direction of the Head of Learning Support.
• Deliver lessons tailored to the specific needs of students.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a consistent approach to learning.
• Promote inclusive practice and equality of opportunity within the classroom.
• Assist in the development of individual education plans and track student progress.
• Encourage student engagement and participation in learning activities.
• Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all students.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers to support student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience supporting children with SEND in an education setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and equality of opportunity.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Preferred

• Experience working in a school or educational setting.
• Familiarity with teaching methodologies for students with additional needs.
• Previous experience in a similar support role.
