The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping KS3 and KS4 students achieve academic success and personal confidence. You will work closely with teachers and students to provide tailored support, ensuring every child has the tools and encouragement they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support KS3 and KS4 students in the classroom and during one-to-one sessions.
• Help students stay focused, engaged, and motivated in their studies.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials and strategies.
• Encourage students and provide support during challenging academic periods.
• Assist with exam preparation and offer emotional and academic guidance.
• Contribute to a positive classroom environment through patience and positivity.
• Stay up to date with curriculum changes and student needs.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teaching staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Experience in working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a dynamic classroom environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

• Previous experience with PDA or ASA.
• Familiarity with teaching methods and curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
• Understanding of student behavior and learning styles.
• Experience in providing one-to-one academic support.
