The Opportunity:

As Vice Principal - Quality of Education, you will play a key role in driving academic outcomes and leading the school’s vision for excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a forward-thinking approach to curriculum, teaching, and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage academic outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement and high standards.
  • Implement and monitor effective use of data to support student progress and achievement.
  • Oversee curriculum development, assessment strategies, and teaching and learning practices.
  • Manage timetabling, examinations, and the academic calendar to ensure smooth operations.
  • Embed the school’s values and vision across all aspects of the school’s culture and academic work.
  • Inspire and motivate students, staff, parents, and the wider community to achieve excellence.
  • Support the Principal in leading the Senior Leadership Team and driving school improvement.
  • Ensure the school’s academic ethos is central to all initiatives and long-term plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a senior leader with a strong track record in education.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and improve academic outcomes and student achievement.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience in curriculum development, assessment, and teaching and learning strategies.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organization.
  • Background in science or business and enterprise specialism.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven decision-making in education.
  • Experience in school improvement and strategic planning.
