The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Support Mentor to join our team and make a meaningful impact on students with SEMH needs. This role is central to ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed, particularly in maths. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to student well-being and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs through individualized learning strategies and mentorship.
  • Deliver targeted maths support to help students achieve academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to stakeholders.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Work closely with parents and guardians to support student learning and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide policies and practices related to learning support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong background in maths teaching and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic or faith-based educational setting.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
