The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate Lecturer in Business to provide high-quality teaching across a range of programmes, including college-based qualifications and workforce development. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of learners aged 14–19 and adult students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across a range of business subjects, including BTEC and foundation degree programmes.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development as a personal tutor and course coordinator.
  • Contribute to curriculum development aligned with national standards and employer expectations.
  • Prepare and assess learning materials, monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in student recruitment, admissions, and induction processes.
  • Collaborate with employers and external agencies to support student placements and career progression.
  • Maintain accurate course records and contribute to quality assurance and review processes.
  • Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Business or a related field
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching a broad range of business subjects, particularly within the RQF BTEC Business Framework
  • Strong communication and organisation skills with a student-centred approach to teaching
  • Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to support learners from diverse backgrounds

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and quality assurance processes
  • Experience with student recruitment and admissions
  • Experience working with adult learners and young people aged 14–19
  • Familiarity with industry-standard facilities and digital tools
