Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across key stages.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
• Support students in achieving their full potential at GCSE and A Level.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and STEM-related initiatives.
• Contribute to the school’s commitment to innovation and professional development.
• Uphold the school’s values of discipline, respect, and high standards in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
• Experience teaching Science at GCSE and A Level.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered learning.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience with ECT induction or supporting new teachers.
• Familiarity with the Havering Teacher Training Partnership or the Ambition Institute.
• Experience in delivering Science education in a school with a focus on maths and science.
• Involvement in STEM outreach or extracurricular activities.
