Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Level 3 Social Science lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Design and implement effective teaching strategies to raise achievement and standards.
  • Support students in developing the skills and knowledge needed for success at Key Stage 5.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental goals.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Level 3 Social Sciences.
  • Strong knowledge of the Level 3 Health and Social Care curriculum.
  • Proven track record of successful teaching at Key Stage 5.
  • Passionate about education and committed to supporting disadvantaged students.
  • Ability to demonstrate a history of raising standards and achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level Psychology and/or Sociology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a school with a commitment to student progression and achievement.
