As a Library Assistant and Study Supervisor, you will play a key role in promoting a love of reading across all year groups and supporting Sixth Form students during study sessions. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and promotion of reading across all year groups
• Manage and maintain library resources and cataloguing systems
• Supervise and support Sixth Form students during study sessions
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure library resources align with curriculum needs
• Assist with the operational running of the school when required
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Ensure the library is a welcoming and well-organised space for students and staff
• Support the school’s Jesuit ethos and values in all aspects of the role

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong understanding of library systems and cataloguing practices
• Passion for reading and a commitment to promoting literacy
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational library environment
• Knowledge of how learning resources support student achievement
• Experience in study supervision or pastoral support roles
• Understanding of Catholic or Jesuit educational values
