The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to inspire young learners and develop their musical talents from EYFS through to Year 8. This is an excellent opportunity for early career teachers or recent music graduates to begin their teaching journey in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive music lessons tailored to different age groups and developmental stages
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of nurturing creativity and confidence in students
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that encourage participation and musical growth
  • Work closely with students to build their confidence and self-esteem through music
  • Participate in school events, performances, and co-curricular activities that promote a love of music
  • Support the school’s values of respect, integrity, kindness, and curiosity in all aspects of teaching
  • Take responsibility for continuous professional development and personal growth
  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor Honours Degree in Music or a related subject
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage children at different developmental stages
  • Enthusiasm for delivering creative and inclusive music lessons that inspire participation
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop professionally

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Previous teaching experience or relevant work with children
  • Experience in a school or educational setting
