Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver a range of GCSE resit and functional skills courses;
  • Contribute to the development of teaching, learning, and assessment strategies;
  • Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress in college and the workplace;
  • Support learners in achieving their educational goals;
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and current;
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities provided by the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline;
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English;
  • Commitment to obtain a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification;
  • Understanding of awarding body standards and requirements;
  • Experience in Further Education or a related field;
  • Up-to-date occupational experience;
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

  • Experience working with diverse learners;
  • Knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion in education;
  • Experience with teaching resit and functional skills courses;
  • Industry experience relevant to Maths education.
