The Opportunity:

As a Progress Tutor, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with students across various curriculum areas, delivering targeted support that enhances their academic, social, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver group tutorials focused on personal development, behaviour, welfare, and employability.
• Monitor and support student attendance, achievement, and progression.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to break down barriers to learning.
• Provide targeted support to students with a range of needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
• Set and monitor individual and group targets to support student success.
• Maintain open and positive communication with students, staff, and parents.
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and motivation.
• Use the virtual learning environment to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
• Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Proven experience in delivering personal development sessions or similar.
• Experience in monitoring student attendance, achievement, and progression.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by young people with barriers to learning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.

Preferred

• Experience in working with students across a range of curriculum areas.
• Experience in target setting and monitoring with learners.
• Familiarity with virtual learning environments and digital teaching tools.
