The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Create innovative and inclusive teaching strategies that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for Mathematics.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Mathematics department.
  • Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate new teaching methods into classroom practice.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Mathematics to a range of ability levels.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular Mathematics activities or competitions.
