The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students and shaping their academic journey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to grow and take on meaningful responsibilities, including curriculum development and student progress in KS5 maths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality maths lessons for KS5 students.
  • Take responsibility for the development and implementation of the KS5 maths curriculum.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing targeted intervention where needed.
  • Participate in and contribute to departmental planning and CPD opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Engage with students and parents to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in maths education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant maths qualifications.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at KS5 level.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Previous experience in a similar educational setting.
