The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Maths Teacher to join its department on a 1-year fixed-term basis. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant academic community, deliver high-quality teaching up to GCSE and A Level, and be involved in the broader life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Maths lessons to students up to and including A Level.
  • Contribute actively to the Maths Department and support the development of the curriculum.
  • Participate in the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Monitor and support student progress through regular assessments and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Utilise the school’s Virtual Learning Environment to enhance student learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate new teaching methods.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A Level results.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Maths education.
  • Proven ability to teach Maths up to and including A Level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding or independent school setting.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in teaching.
  • Experience with the school’s Virtual Learning Environment.
  • Leadership experience or a desire to take on a leadership role within the department.
