The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Maths Teacher to join its department on a 1-year fixed-term basis. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant academic community, deliver high-quality teaching up to GCSE and A Level, and be involved in the broader life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Maths lessons to students up to and including A Level.
- Contribute actively to the Maths Department and support the development of the curriculum.
- Participate in the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.
- Monitor and support student progress through regular assessments and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Utilise the school’s Virtual Learning Environment to enhance student learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate new teaching methods.
- Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A Level results.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Maths education.
- Proven ability to teach Maths up to and including A Level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience in a boarding or independent school setting.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in teaching.
- Experience with the school’s Virtual Learning Environment.
- Leadership experience or a desire to take on a leadership role within the department.
