The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our department on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact in a school that is undergoing significant development and improvement. The role offers the chance to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and A Level, supporting students in achieving academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to Key Stage 3, 4, and A Level students
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and initiatives
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate
  • Participate in professional development and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities
  • Contribute to the school’s vision of Success for All through effective teaching and leadership
  • Support the implementation of the school’s seven virtues and values in the classroom

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths qualifications
  • Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Commitment to student-centred learning and personal development
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Willingness to teach A Level Maths where appropriate

Preferred

  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Background in supporting ECTs (Early Career Teachers)
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and pastoral support
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources
