Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons using explicit instruction and TLAC 3.0 techniques.
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential and meet high academic standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the Maths curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and intervention where needed.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of teaching strategies and resources.
  • Engage with students, parents, and the wider school community to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Attend professional development sessions and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the school’s culture of ambition, character, and excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Experience in delivering lessons using direct instruction and TLAC 3.0 techniques.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission of high academic standards and student empowerment.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or supporting departmental initiatives.
  • Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in developing and delivering professional development sessions.
