The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Mathematics lessons that foster analytical thinking and a love of the subject.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with the school’s mission of inclusivity and academic excellence.
  • Support student progress through individualised feedback, assessment, and differentiated instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental strengths and continuously improve the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance to ensure consistent progress and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student work and assessment data.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a valid teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at the appropriate level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at an independent or high-performing school.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership in a departmental setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Passion for Mathematics and a commitment to inspiring students.
