Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Mathematics lessons that foster analytical thinking and a love of the subject.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with the school’s mission of inclusivity and academic excellence.
- Support student progress through individualised feedback, assessment, and differentiated instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental strengths and continuously improve the quality of teaching and learning.
- Participate in the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance to ensure consistent progress and achievement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student work and assessment data.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a valid teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at the appropriate level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at an independent or high-performing school.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with curriculum development or leadership in a departmental setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Passion for Mathematics and a commitment to inspiring students.
