Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching methods and subject knowledge.
  • Support students in developing a positive attitude towards mathematics and its real-world applications.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience teaching mathematics to students aged 11-16.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a similar ethos and values.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Experience with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership in a teaching team.
