Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching methods and subject knowledge.
- Support students in developing a positive attitude towards mathematics and its real-world applications.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience teaching mathematics to students aged 11-16.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a similar ethos and values.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Experience with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Experience with curriculum development or leadership in a teaching team.
