Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons that meet curriculum requirements and challenge students.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and continuously improve teaching and learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the maths curriculum.
  • Stay up to date with developments in maths education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the school’s wider vision by contributing to extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at the appropriate level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos of ‘Students First’.

Preferred

  • Experience with maths pedagogy and innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on professional development.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
  • Experience in delivering CPD to colleagues.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
