Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for the subject.
- Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies aligned with the school’s vision.
- Support students’ academic progress through effective assessment and feedback.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students by leading and mentoring an Academic Mentoring group.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and student outcomes.
- Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and improve teaching standards.
- Encourage student creativity and problem-solving through real-world applications of Maths.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Post 16 Maths.
- Familiarity with STEM-based learning and project-based teaching methods.
- Experience with academic mentoring or pastoral roles.
- Demonstrated success in developing student engagement and achievement in Maths.
