The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Maths Teacher for a one-year maternity cover position starting in September 2026. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth within a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that inspire and challenge students
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom culture that promotes student achievement
• Support students in developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly to inform teaching strategies
• Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme and pastoral care initiatives
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain and enhance academic standards
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a strong background in Mathematics
• Proven ability to motivate and engage students in learning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in planning and delivering effective lessons
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

• Experience in teaching Mathematics at a secondary level
• Familiarity with co-curricular activities and pastoral care
• Experience with Initial Teacher Training or mentoring
• Strong understanding of current educational trends and technologies
