The Opportunity:
We are seeking an ambitious and committed Maths Teacher or Assistant Curriculum Leader to join a dynamic and supportive department. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on student outcomes, lead by example, and shape the direction of the curriculum. You will play a key role in supporting colleagues and raising achievement across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Curriculum Leader in developing teaching and learning strategies to raise achievement and maintain high standards.
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A Level.
- Lead by example with outstanding classroom practice and professionalism.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous improvement.
- Implement and monitor data-driven assessment strategies to ensure consistent student progress.
- Contribute to departmental enrichment initiatives, such as UKMT competitions and Further Maths packs.
- Foster a culture of respect, curiosity, and determination for excellence within the department.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Mathematics education.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons and raise student achievement.
- Experience in a leadership or middle leadership role, or a strong commitment to developing leadership skills.
- Passion for placing students at the heart of the curriculum and ensuring meaningful learning.
- Commitment to supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative working environment.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and leadership within a school setting.
- Familiarity with data-driven assessment and diagnostic teaching methods.
- Experience in leading enrichment activities or extracurricular programs in Mathematics.
- Early Career Teacher with a strong desire to grow and develop professionally.
- Experience with UKMT competitions or similar enrichment programs.
