You will support healthy eating, lead social and recreational activities, and assist with personal care and hygiene where needed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise pupils during lunchtime, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Promote healthy eating habits and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Lead and participate in a variety of playground games and social activities.
  • Assist pupils with personal care and hygiene as required.
  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure consistency in approach.
  • Maintain a calm, approachable, and professional manner at all times.
  • Follow all school procedures, policies, and safeguarding protocols.
  • Provide feedback and collaborate with the team to improve the midday experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with both adults and children.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to following school procedures and policies.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a good sense of humour.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred

  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging lunchtime activities.
  • Experience with supporting pupils in personal care and hygiene.
  • Proactive approach to creating a positive and inclusive environment.
