The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a dynamic and growing school environment. This role involves both general class support and individualized intervention, offering flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in young learners' education and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with individualized learning needs, including those with SEND.
  • Assist in delivering play-based learning and immersive educational experiences.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance classroom learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Promote a positive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support pupils in developing independence in personal care and daily routines.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering academic and personal growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning processes in EYFS, Key Stage 1, or 2.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • NVQ2 in Teaching Assistant or equivalent, or willingness to obtain it.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred

  • Experience in providing support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Background in early years or primary education.
  • Experience with professional development and training programs.
  • Confidence in delivering support across a range of learning activities.
