As the Middle School Dean of Academics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of a vibrant school community. This leadership position focuses on enhancing curriculum, instruction, and assessment to support student learning and teacher growth. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, student-centered leader with a passion for educational innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support faculty in curricular coherence and instructional improvement
  • Collaborate with learning specialists and departmental leaders to evaluate faculty performance
  • Champion professional growth through coaching and partnership with the Learning Design Center
  • Use data-informed approaches to guide instructional decisions and improve learning outcomes
  • Develop and implement a guaranteed curriculum aligned with school standards
  • Oversee the creation of a master schedule that supports academic and social-emotional growth
  • Foster a collaborative, student-centered environment through effective communication
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic success of all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a learning-focused leader
  • Valid teacher and/or administrative certification

Preferred

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Experience in international schools
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments
  • Experience in staff supervision and performance evaluation
  • Proven success in instructional improvement and faculty development
