The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons to Key Stage 3 students, with the ability to teach French to Key Stage 3 students.
  • Work collaboratively with the Modern Foreign Languages department to achieve excellent student outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Modern Foreign Languages and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Modern Foreign Languages, specifically Spanish.
  • Ability to teach Spanish to Key Stage 3 students (KS4 desirable).
  • Experience in delivering French to Key Stage 3 students is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching strategies and technologies.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL).
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong team ethos and collaborative culture.
