The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to shape the spiritual and academic growth of students across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5. The successful candidate will contribute to a thriving Catholic community that values inclusivity, innovation, and excellence in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons that inspire and engage students at all key stages.
- Support the school’s Catholic mission and values through teaching, pastoral care, and collaboration with the wider school community.
- Work closely with colleagues in the RE Department and across the school to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that reflect the school’s commitment to Catholic social teaching and spiritual development.
- Participate in the school’s wider activities, including community events, religious celebrations, and pastoral initiatives.
- Contribute to the spiritual and academic growth of students through regular assessment, feedback, and pastoral support.
- Engage with local Catholic schools and parishes as part of the RE Cluster and broader Catholic community.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
- Practising Catholic with a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and mission.
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Religious Education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and the wider community.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching KS5 Religious Education.
- Involvement in Catholic education or community initiatives.
- Experience with curriculum development and pastoral care.
- Familiarity with Catholic social teaching and its application in education.
