Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and planning.
- Support the school’s mission of putting students first and ensuring all students reach their full potential.
- Stay up to date with curriculum developments and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.
- Mentor and support new teachers, contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with a strong background in Chemistry.
- Experience in teaching Chemistry up to Key Stage 5.
- Excellent knowledge of the Chemistry curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and a passion for Science education.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and high-achieving team.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering a knowledge-rich, personalised curriculum.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Previous experience in a school with an Ofsted Outstanding rating.
- Involvement in extracurricular science activities or STEM initiatives.
