The Opportunity:

As a Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for parents, carers, and visitors, ensuring efficient communication and a welcoming environment. This role is ideal for someone who values excellent customer service and contributes to the smooth running of a busy school office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
  • Handle telephone inquiries and provide prompt, professional responses.
  • Welcome visitors and ensure they are directed appropriately.
  • Assist with general office administration and support other staff as needed.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional front desk environment.
  • Support the smooth operation of the school during term time and across all departments.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
  • Assist with event coordination and other special projects as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in a reception or administrative role.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using office software and telephone systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work term-time and across a range of duties.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting.
