The Opportunity:

As a Network Manager, you will be responsible for the ownership and management of the school’s technical infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of secure, high-performing IT services that support teaching, learning, and the school’s operations. This is a key role within the IT team, offering the chance to make a significant impact on the school’s digital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the school’s network infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Strategy and IT team to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum user satisfaction.
  • Support the integration of new technologies and systems to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Work closely with IT Support Engineers to provide technical assistance and training to staff and students.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to network configurations and procedures.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in network management, preferably within the education or charitable sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with IT service management and support in an educational environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a senior IT role within a school or similar institution.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and IT security frameworks.
  • Experience with managing IT projects from planning to implementation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
