The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Soft Services Supervisor to oversee the delivery of soft services across the site. This role ensures the highest standards of site presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, driving excellence in support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the delivery of soft services including site presentation, cleanliness, and porterage.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and current standards.
  • Coordinate event setups and support services across the school site.
  • Supervise and lead a team of support staff, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of service delivery across all areas of the school.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and service standards.
  • Liaise with senior management to ensure alignment with school objectives and policies.
  • Support the school in maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for students and visitors.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a school or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience in managing and delivering soft services such as cleaning, porterage, and event support.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting or within the education sector.
  • Knowledge of event management and coordination.
  • Experience with health and safety audits or training.
  • Familiarity with educational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
