The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join their team and support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children in a nurturing and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to children from six months.
- Work collaboratively with the Nursery Team and Nursery Manager to ensure the well-being and development of all children.
- Create a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment that encourages learning and exploration.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that support physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
- Ensure the safe and secure care of children at all times.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values happiness, confidence, and achievement.
- Support the implementation of the school’s ethos and values within daily interactions with children and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- An appropriate Early Years or Child Care qualification.
- Experience working with children under 3 years old.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in an early years setting or nursery environment.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A positive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to working with children and colleagues.
