The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join their team and support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to children from six months.
  • Work collaboratively with the Nursery Team and Nursery Manager to ensure the well-being and development of all children.
  • Create a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment that encourages learning and exploration.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that support physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Ensure the safe and secure care of children at all times.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values happiness, confidence, and achievement.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s ethos and values within daily interactions with children and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • An appropriate Early Years or Child Care qualification.
  • Experience working with children under 3 years old.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in an early years setting or nursery environment.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A positive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to working with children and colleagues.
