The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Practitioner Outdoor Learning Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the development of young children within a nurturing and dynamic environment. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early years education and outdoor learning, with the ability to inspire and engage children from six months to four years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care and education to children from six months to four years old within an outdoor learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Nursery Manager and other team members to ensure a consistent and positive approach to child development.
- Plan and implement engaging outdoor learning activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for children, parents, and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support the development and well-being of each child.
- Support the overall vision and mission of the school through creative and innovative teaching practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and school policies.
- Continuously reflect on and improve teaching methods and child engagement strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Child Care.
- Proven experience working with children aged six months to four years.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of children and the school environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or managing outdoor learning activities.
- Knowledge of early years curriculum and development stages.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Confidence in dealing with parents and other members of the school community.
