The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be instrumental in shaping the early learning experiences of young children, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports their development and well-being. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children from 6 months to 4 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children’s learning and development through engaging activities and structured play
  • Assist with personal care routines with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Promote good nutrition and positive mealtime experiences
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised room environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents
  • Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
  • Encourage emotional, social, and cognitive growth through meaningful interactions
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification, or Level 2 with a willingness to train towards Level 3
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A warm, approachable, and professional manner
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health, and safety procedures
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Patient, caring, and child-centred approach to practice

Preferred

  • Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Safeguarding Children Level 1 training
