The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be instrumental in shaping the early learning experiences of children aged 6 months to 4 years. You will provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment that supports their development through play and meaningful interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children’s learning and development through engaging activities and structured play
  • Assist with personal care routines with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Promote good nutrition and positive mealtime experiences
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised room environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents
  • Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
  • Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth through purposeful interactions
  • Follow the EYFS framework and child development guidelines

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification, or Level 2 with willingness to train towards Level 3
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Warm, approachable, and professional manner
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health, and safety procedures
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Patient, caring, and child-centred approach

Preferred

  • Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Safeguarding Children Level 1 training
