The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be instrumental in shaping the early learning experiences of children aged 6 months to 4 years. You will provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment that supports their development through play and meaningful interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children’s learning and development through engaging activities and structured play
- Assist with personal care routines with sensitivity and professionalism
- Promote good nutrition and positive mealtime experiences
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised room environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
- Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth through purposeful interactions
- Follow the EYFS framework and child development guidelines
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 Early Years qualification, or Level 2 with willingness to train towards Level 3
- Excellent communication skills
- Warm, approachable, and professional manner
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health, and safety procedures
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Patient, caring, and child-centred approach
Preferred
- Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Safeguarding Children Level 1 training
