The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic and growing team as a Speech and Language Therapist, making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people. This role offers the chance to work in school settings with potential for clinic and remote-based work, while supporting the development of individualised intervention plans and EHCPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people’s communication and language needs for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Develop and implement individualised intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the child’s daily environment.
- Provide training and upskilling to key adults to support the child’s progress and achievement of therapy goals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated and holistic care for children with complex needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Work flexibly across school, clinic, and remote settings to deliver consistent and high-quality care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- BSc or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
Preferred
- Experience working within a paediatric setting.
- Experience with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and SLT provision in a school setting.
- Experience working with complex behaviours.
- Specialist CPD and/or training.
- Trauma-Informed care experience.
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £55,000 FTE, dependent on experience, with a welcome bonus of £2000.
- 5 weeks off during the school summer break, plus 22 days of annual leave.
