As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored support to pupils, helping them achieve their full potential. This is an impactful role that contributes directly to creating a positive and successful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in their learning through one-to-one, small group, and whole-class settings.
  • Assist in the delivery of the National Curriculum and school-based learning activities.
  • Develop strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
  • Provide targeted support to help pupils overcome learning barriers and achieve academic success.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow procedures to ensure pupil safety and well-being.
  • Assist in the organisation and management of school events and activities.
  • Contribute to the school’s leadership and character development programmes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
  • Practical experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Experience supporting children within a school context.
  • Working knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals, small groups, and whole classes.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational support role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience with leadership and character development initiatives.
