The Opportunity:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering individualized therapy to students with autism, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate individual caseloads, implementing effective occupational therapy interventions and treatment plans
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and deliver targeted support on an individual or group basis
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and complete Annual Review documentation
- Ensure the effective management of sensory profiles and advise staff on their correct implementation
- Develop strong working relationships with teaching and support staff to enhance student outcomes
- Comply with school policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards in all clinical practice
- Promote the school’s therapy services and contribute to business growth in line with personal and school targets
- Deliver training to school staff in line with EHCP requirements and support the integration of occupational therapy into the classroom
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist
- BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent professional qualification
- Experience working with students with autism or special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of EHCP processes and requirements
- Experience with sensory integration techniques
- Flexibility to work with a diverse range of students and support staff
