The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering individualized therapy to students with autism, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate individual caseloads, implementing effective occupational therapy interventions and treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and deliver targeted support on an individual or group basis
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and complete Annual Review documentation
  • Ensure the effective management of sensory profiles and advise staff on their correct implementation
  • Develop strong working relationships with teaching and support staff to enhance student outcomes
  • Comply with school policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards in all clinical practice
  • Promote the school’s therapy services and contribute to business growth in line with personal and school targets
  • Deliver training to school staff in line with EHCP requirements and support the integration of occupational therapy into the classroom

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience working with students with autism or special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of EHCP processes and requirements
  • Experience with sensory integration techniques
  • Flexibility to work with a diverse range of students and support staff
